No, at Seraphic Diamonds, we don’t sell mined diamonds. Instead, we sell an array of jewelry made out of lab-grown diamonds. These diamonds are identical in terms of the physical, chemical, and optical properties of mined diamonds.

You can use the chat box on our Seraphic Diamonds website to reach our customer desk. We have a host of skilled and experienced designers who can help you with your queries. Alternatively, contact our customer representatives for any site or jewelry-related concerns and information.

Yes, at Seraphic Diamonds, we can make customised jewellery for our customers. You can expect your jewelry consignment to be dispatched within 5-25 working days from receiving the advance amount based on the stock availability. You can always reach out to us to check the items in stock for any urgent orders.

Yes, you can clean the jewellery bought from our store. Simply soak your piece of lab-grown diamond jewellery in a solution of water and a few drops of mild dish soap once a week, depending on how often you wear it. If you find grime or grit accumulated on your ornament piece, you can use a soft toothbrush to loosen it. Subsequently, rinse it off with clean water and gently tap it dry with a soft cloth. Make sure not to use any harsh chemicals for cleaning.

Lab-grown diamonds can be created via two unique processes: HPHT and CVD.

The former stands for High-Pressure High-Temperature technique, while the CVD stands for Chemical Vapor Deposition.

HPHT is a process similar to the way diamonds are grown in nature. Here carbon is subjected to high temperatures and is pressed together. However, this process entails a lot of energy consumption and is relatively costlier. On the other hand, CVD creates relatively higher quality diamonds at a lower cost through a process where hydrogen and methane gases are combined and put through a chamber with a seed crystal. The high temperatures in the chamber powered by microwave heating excites the gas to initiate the growth of diamonds.

Yes, Seraphic Diamonds are real diamonds certified by the most sophisticated gem laboratories. It is only the origin of these diamonds that is different. Lab-grown diamonds aren’t mined from the earth but cultured in controlled lab environments. At Seraphic Diamonds, we have an exquisite collection of luxe diamond jewelry studded with glistening lab-grown CVD diamonds.

There is no visible difference between the two. Mined diamonds are natural diamonds formed over billions of years due to intense heat and pressure beneath the earth. In contrast, lab-grown diamonds are created in a laboratory and can be produced within a few weeks. Mined diamonds often contain a tiny amount of nitrogen compared to synthetic diamonds. You can check the diamond certification to tell the difference between mined and lab-grown diamonds but it is definitely not visible to the naked eye.

Lab-grown diamonds are packaged with a plethora of benefits. The world is gradually treading the path of growing diamonds in labs for a good cause. Lab-grown diamonds are chemically identical to traditionally mined diamonds and are created in labs under conditions that mimic natural diamond manufacturing processes. Reasons why lab-grown diamonds can make a better choice include:

– Lab-grown diamonds are purer than stones mined naturally as the former doesn’t contain dirt or impurities. In the controlled conditions under which they are manufactured, lab-grown diamonds have fewer signs of crystal structure. They have lesser defects, are brighter, and receive better purity ratings than their mined counterparts.

– Lab-grown diamonds are affordable as compared to natural diamonds, especially when it comes to colored diamonds. Mined color diamonds sell at inflated prices owing to their rarity, whereas lab-grown diamonds are available at a much lesser cost.

– Mining diamonds means damaging the earth’s surface that can substantially damage the planet. Also, mining natural diamonds involves using large amounts of fossil fuel. Synthetically manufactured diamonds cause no environmental damage and are affordable as well.

Yes! Lab-grown diamonds from Seraphic Diamonds can be insured. By choosing lab-grown diamonds, you can save money on the annual premium payable for your insurance policy, thanks to the overall low cost of the insurable diamonds. You can also seek higher coverage on specific synthetically manufactured diamond jewellery.

No, lab-grown diamonds aren’t artificial. They are real diamonds and identical to lab-grown diamonds. They have the same crystal structure and spectacular sparkle as natural diamonds. Moreover, lab-cultured diamonds are increasingly durable. With the same physical, chemical, and optical characteristics as traditional diamonds, lab-grown diamonds are difficult to differentiate from natural diamonds.

Lab-grown diamonds can be classified into two main types based on the method used for their growth:

  1. High Pressure, High Temperature (HPHT) Diamonds: HPHT diamonds are created using a process that simulates the conditions found deep within the Earth’s mantle. A small diamond seed is placed in a press that applies intense pressure and high temperature, allowing carbon atoms to crystallize around the seed and form a larger diamond. Various heat sources and catalysts may be used in the process to aid diamond growth.

  2. Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) Diamonds: CVD diamonds are grown through a process that involves a carbon-rich gas, typically methane, in a controlled environment. The gas is activated using a plasma energy source, causing carbon atoms to separate and settle onto a substrate, such as a diamond seed. Over time, these carbon atoms accumulate and form a diamond.

Both HPHT and CVD methods produce lab-grown diamonds that have the same chemical composition, crystal structure, and physical properties as natural diamonds. These diamonds are considered real diamonds and are virtually indistinguishable from natural diamonds without specialized testing equipment.

Yes, absolutely! At Seraphic Diamonds, we have a buy-back policy where we can purchase the jewelry you bought from our store at 80% of the prevailing lab-grown diamond price and 100% of the prevailing gold price. Besides, you can check out the world market dealing in lab-grown diamonds. Such markets today allow consumers to sell their lab-grown diamond jewelry to anyone worldwide.

Yes, lab-grown diamonds are available in different colours and clarity grades, similar to mined diamonds. The colour and clarity of lab-grown diamonds are determined by the presence of impurities or structural irregularities during the growth process.

Colour: Lab-grown diamonds can exhibit a range of colors, including colourless (similar to the D-Z colour scale used for mined diamonds), as well as various fancy colors such as yellow, pink, blue, and green. The colour of a lab-grown diamond is influenced by the type and concentration of impurities present during its formation.

Clarity: Lab-grown diamonds can have varying clarity grades, which indicate the presence or absence of internal or external flaws (known as inclusions and blemishes, respectively). The clarity grades range from Flawless (no inclusions or blemishes visible under 10x magnification) to Included (inclusions and/or blemishes visible to the naked eye).

Well, if you talk about test-tube babies, aren’t they real? Similarly, lab-grown diamonds are cultured from a single carbon seed and possess the same fundamental and chemical characteristics and qualities as their naturally formed counterparts.

At Seraphic Diamonds, we get our diamond jewellery certified from renowned labs (IGI and GIA) that endorse lab-grown diamonds as real, not fake. Moreover, you can bank on the buyback option of lab-grown diamonds, as fake diamonds would never have such an option available. Also, buying from an authorized dealer who issues a certificate for the purchased diamond assures the diamond’s authenticity.

No! Lab-grown diamonds are forever like their mined counterparts and do not lose colour or shine.
